The Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra proudly presents its 143rd Concerto Festival for Junior Artists - a landmark event that continues a long-standing tradition of nurturing and showcasing young South African musical talent.

This much-anticipated annual celebration offers a rare opportunity for promising young soloists to perform on stage, accompanied by a full symphony orchestra.

This year's programme is as captivating as it is diverse, featuring a rich selection of concerti from some of the greatest composers in classical music history. Among other works, audiences can look forward to powerful and emotive works by Ludwig van Beethoven, the spirited brilliance of Dmitri Kabalevsky, Jean-Baptiste Accolay, as well as the fiery energy of Vittorio Monti’s famous Czardas.

Each soloist has been selected for their outstanding technical ability, musicality, and dedication to their craft. The Concerto Festival not only provides these young artists with invaluable performance experience but also inspires audiences with a glimpse of the future of classical music in South Africa.
