In September 1992, Ms Lezel Amoraal of Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof suggested that an Interschools Athletics meeting be held between the four rural girls' schools (Stellenbosch: Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof and Rhenish Girls' High; Paarl: Paarl Girls’ High School and La Rochelle Girls’ High School).
Each one of these schools has a tradition which spans more than a hundred years. This year will be the 32nd time this event will take place.
This is one of the biggest girls' only Athletics meetings in the country.
