The heart and motivation behind this race all originated from the need and the will to give back to the children of Middelburg – our local town.

This race is a family event with different distance categories: Ultra Marathon (120km), Marathon (70km), Half-marathon (40km) and a Fun race (15km). With E-bike categories on the 40km & 70km, and this year, for the first time, a Gravel Bike category on the 120 km.

Our main beneficiaries include, but are not limited to, Middelburg Primary School, Middelburg Hoërskool and Care Village, the local orphanage.

The purpose of the funds generated by this event is to assist youngsters from disadvantaged communities, who are left in dire need to be able to complete their schooling.
