Live streaming show, Gospel Goes Global, will nourish souls

Due to limiting regulations and the format of the event being improved, Gospel Goes Global with Dr Tumi has been postponed to 4 December 2020. Gospel enthusiasts from all over the world can still look forward to tuning in to this live online show streamed from the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria.

After careful consideration, we decided to postpone this concert to ensure we offer a production of outstanding quality,” the award-winning South African gospel artist, Dr Tumi, said. “I am very excited to be on stage after a year we were all emotionally - and financially tested,” he said.”

With this live online show, we would like to encourage each and everyone and refresh them for the time ahead,” he explained.

As one of the most sought-after songwriters for contemporary gospel in South Africa, Dr Tumi will nourish souls with an inspirational message, worship, and hope for the future.

It is an honour and privilege to be part of this concert and even more exciting to think that anyone - no matter where in the world they are, can be part of this,” Albertus Potgieter, CEO of iTickets, said.

Dr Tumi has overwhelmed this country with his programme, Heart to Heart with Dr Tumi, that has premiered on Mzansi Magic and allowed viewers to worship, in the comfort of their own homes, amidst the global Covid-19 pandemic.

His first solo album, Heart of a King, secured a Best RnB Gospel Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards in 2012 after he was nominated in four categories.

Like many artists, Dr Tumi, who is a producer, songwriter, instrumentalist and vocalist, kicked off his music career in Sunday school decades ago. It was at church where he honed his skills as a songwriter, pianist and singer. The songwriting bug hit Dr Tumi when he was 12 years. Since then he hasn’t looked back as he continues as the Lord’s pen and the ink of the Spirit. He is known for writing and producing new songs in a season where there’s deeper yearning for such.

With multi-platinum-selling albums, 14 awards and great following, attesting to the virtuoso talent he possesses, Dr Tumi remains humble and meticulous in an expedition to draw inspiration from the throne of grace to minister destiny aligning, soul reviving, enriching songs. In 2017 Dr Tumi made it to the annals of South African gospel music records by becoming the first gospel artist to fill up The Dome where 20 000 worshippers turned up to lift the King of kings.

In his 2019 album Love on the Cross, he featured Fred Hammond, Bishop Cortez Vaughn, Ndlovu Youth Choir, Jason Nelson, Khuli Chana, Idols star Loyiso Gijana, Donald Lawrence, Sbu Noah, to mention a few.

Gospel Goes Global will be the first Livestream worship concert for Dr Tumi and makes him very excited to know that thousands of lives will be touched. He will be accompanied by a world-class band and choir.

Gospel Goes Global will be live from 19:00 to 22:30 on Friday, 4 December. Tickets are R150
