Local Rooihuiskraal band Georgetown joins forces with a newly formed brass section from Newtown called the Moonies. Already using a vast amount of authentic folk driven melodies and instruments, the brass addition draws a captivating power sound closely resembling the likes of New Orleans. The show promises a combination of their original songs, contemporary arrangements, storytelling and some long gone 1940s Afrikaans folk music.

This year Georgetown received a SAMA nomination for their debut album The Dog Show and embarked on their first European tour to Netherlands and Belgium. They will be ending 2019 off at one of their favourite theatres with one hell of bang!
