A Whole New World for young and old
This July, the producers of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast bring a brand new show to the Atterbury Theatre. This production promises to enthrall audiences, young and old.
The production of ALADDIN boasts with a cast of 45 performers that will take you on a journey with toe tapping music, witty dialogue and beautiful costumes.
The popular story of Aladdin has a few interesting twists here and there which is true to the O.A.K. Youth Theatre style.
Aladdin, played by the charming Miguel de Sampaio, struggles to accept his mediocre lifestyle and he wishes to rise above this current station. A brief encounter with the beautiful Princess Jasmin, played by talented Eldirè Strauss, leads to Aladdin being imprisoned. The Sultan’s evil Vizier, Zahar then persuades Aladdin to retrieve an object from the Cave of Wonders in return for Aladdin’s release. This mission will change the course of Aladdin’s life somewhat dramatically.
The 2018 crowd favourite, Matthew Otto (Gaston in Beauty and the Beast) returns to the stage to play the boisterous Genie in Aladdin.

Aladdin will be staged at the Atterbury Theatre from 4 - 13 July 2019 from Monday to Saturdays with matinee performances on Fridays and Saturdays. Ticket prices are from R140 - R160 pp.

Julie maand bring die vervaardigers van 'Cinderella' en 'Beauty and the Beast', ’n splinternuwe vertoning na die Atterbury Teater. Die produksie beloof om soos vorige jare die gehoor te vermaak.
Die produksie van Aladdin spog met 45 jong akteurs wat gehore sal bekoor met hulle diverse talent.
Die alombekende verhaal van Aladdin kry natuurlik ‘n paar unieke kinkels in die kabel, wat so eie is aan O.A.K. Jeug Teater se produksies.
Aladdin, vertolk deur Miguel de Sampaio, kan net nie vrede maak met sy gemiddelde leefstyl nie en droom van ’n lewe van weelde en rykdom. Na sy paaie kruis met die pragtige Prinses Jasmin, Eldirè Strauss, word hy in die tronk gegooi. In ruil vir sy vrylating, probeer die slu Zahar, die koning se adviseur, Aladdin oorreed om ’n lamp uit die Grot van Wonders op te spoor. Hierdie ekspedisie sal Aladdin se lewe aangrypend verander.
Die 2018 gehoor gunsteling, Matthew Otto, (Gaston in ‘Beauty and the Beast’) keer weer terug na die verhoog in 2019, om die rol van die energieke Genie te vertolk.
